Event Sponsorship Packages: How to Structure Your Tiers

Most event sponsorship packages are sold in tiers. Each tier adds visibility, guest interaction and data, so sponsors can choose the level that fits their budget.

Use these tiers as a starting point. Rename them, move benefits between them and set the prices from your own costs and audience.

How to Price Each Package

Start with what each package costs you to deliver. Then add the value of the audience the sponsor reaches, backed by numbers you can show: attendance, opted-in contacts and social reach.

Put a dollar value on guest posts with the earned media value calculator, and help the sponsor forecast their return with the event ROI calculator.

Sponsorship Proposal Example: A Presenting Sponsor on Every Photo

A presenting package is easier to sell when the sponsor can see exactly where guests will meet their brand.

At Temple's FanCam tailgate, Grungo Law was the presenting sponsor. Its logo was on every photo fans received, on their photo gallery and in the messages that followed. In a proposal, that becomes one clear line in the presenting tier: "Your logo on every guest photo, delivered by SMS or WhatsApp."

Promise a Sponsor Recap You Can Deliver

Sponsors renew when the recap matches the proposal. Impulse counts guest signups, branded photos delivered and message replies for each event, so the numbers are ready when you report.

Sponsorship Proposal Questions

What Is a Sponsorship Proposal?

A sponsorship proposal is the document you send a potential sponsor to ask for their support. It explains who your event reaches, what the sponsor gets in each package, how you will measure results and what it costs.

What Should a Sponsorship Proposal Include?

Include a cover page, why the event fits the sponsor, an event overview, an audience profile, sponsorship packages with prices, an activation plan, how you will measure and report results, terms, and next steps with a decision date.

What Are Event Sponsorship Packages?

Event sponsorship packages are bundles of benefits sold at set prices, usually in tiers such as presenting, gold, silver and supporting. Each tier combines visibility, guest interaction and data, so sponsors can pick the level that matches their budget and goals.

How Do You Price Event Sponsorship Packages?

Start with what each package costs you to deliver, then add the value of the audience the sponsor reaches. Back the value with your own numbers: attendance, opted-in contacts and the earned media value of guest posts. Check the prices against what comparable events in your market charge.

How Long Should a Sponsorship Proposal Be?

Short enough to read in one sitting. Keep the core proposal to the sections in this template and move details such as floor plans, past recaps and full terms into an appendix.

How Do I Show Sponsors What They Got?

Send a sponsor recap after the event with the numbers you promised in the proposal: attendance, guest signups, branded photos delivered, social reach and survey answers. Build it with the free post-event report template and add a slide for each sponsor.

Can I Use This Template in Google Docs or Word?

Yes. Copy the template or download it as a text file, then paste it into Google Docs, Word or your proposal tool. Replace everything in brackets and add your logo, photos and prices.
